Arbitrary File Upload via System REST API in Multiple WSO2 Products Allows Remote Code Execution

The System REST API accepts user-supplied file uploads without enforcing sufficient validation on the file type or destination, allowing files to be written to arbitrary server-accessible locations. Exploitation requires authenticated administrative access with publisher privileges. Successful exploitation permits an authenticated publisher to upload files to server-accessible locations. Depending on the deployment environment and how uploaded files are handled, this could lead to the execution of uploaded content, potentially resulting in remote code execution.

Authorization Code issued for Deleted User reuse in Multiple WSO2 Products Allows Unauthorized Access

Unused authorization codes issued to deleted users are not being properly invalidated or removed from the system. This allows for the persistence of these codes, enabling them to be potentially reused. If an attacker possesses both the authorization code and the associated client credentials (client ID and client secret), they can leverage these unused codes to obtain access tokens on behalf of users who have already been deleted. This may lead to unauthorized access to sensitive resources and services, contingent on the scopes originally authorized for the compromised authorization code.

GitHub CLI: Unescaped variable components in request URLs could allow path traversal

GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub’s official command line tool. Prior to 2.97.0, some HTTP request URLs interpolate variable path components without percent encoding, allowing URL path metacharacters in attacker-controlled repository or resource values to make gh address a different API endpoint or resource than the user intended. Apache Polaris: register endpoint reads attacker-controlled storage location before allowed-locations validation

Apache Polaris did not consistently validate storage locations supplied during table and view registration. An authenticated principal with permission to register a table or view could, depending on the affected release and registration path, cause Polaris to use the catalog's storage credentials to read a caller-selected Iceberg metadata file before verifying that the file was within the catalog's allowed storage locations. If the catalog's underlying credentials could read an object outside that boundary, this could disclose limited information from the object. Polaris could also accept registration metadata located within an allowed location that contained references to storage locations outside the allowed boundary. This second condition did not itself cause Polaris to read the referenced external locations during registration. The demonstrated impact is limited to confidentiality. No unauthorized data modification or availability impact has been demonstrated. The server-side read requires a deployment using S3 credential vending and an object outside the allowed locations that the catalog's underlying storage credentials can read. Exploitation requires an authenticated principal with table- or view-registration privileges.
