Kirki < 6.0.12 - Unauthenticated Arbitrary Comment Modification and Moderation Bypass via Component Library

The Kirki WordPress plugin before 6.0.12 does not perform any authorisation check on one of its REST routes, allowing unauthenticated users to overwrite the content of arbitrary existing comments and to create pre-approved comments under a spoofed identity, bypassing comment moderation.

HeyForm vulnerable to stored XSS via form field titles

HeyForm is an open-source form builder. Prior to version 3.0.0-rc.7, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the form builder allows a low-privileged team member to inject malicious JavaScript that executes when a team owner views the form, leading to complete account takeover through privilege escalation. Version 3.0.0-rc.7 contains a patch for the issue.

ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in compare_guid_key()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in compare_guid_key() session_fd_check() walks the per-inode m_op_list during durable-handle session teardown and sets op->conn = NULL for every opinfo whose conn matched the closing session's connection. The matching opinfo, however, stays linked in its per-ClientGuid lease_table_list entry's lb->lease_list because destroy_lease_table() only runs on full TCP-connection teardown, not on SESSION_LOGOFF. If the same TCP connection then negotiates a fresh session with the same ClientGuid (ClientGuid is bound to NEGOTIATE, not the session, and is unchanged across LOGOFF + SETUP) and issues a SMB2 CREATE with a lease context on a different inode, find_same_lease_key() walks lb->lease_list, reaches the stale opinfo, and calls compare_guid_key(), which unconditionally dereferences opinfo->conn->ClientGUID. The conn pointer is NULL and the kernel panics. Reproducer requires only a successful SMB2 SESSION_SETUP and a share configured with 'durable handles = yes'. KASAN report on mainline 70390501d194: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000069: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN PTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000348-0x000000000000034f] Workqueue: ksmbd-io handle_ksmbd_work RIP: 0010:bcmp+0x5b/0x230 Call Trace: compare_guid_key+0x4b/0xd0 find_same_lease_key+0x324/0x690 smb2_open+0x6aea/0x8e60 handle_ksmbd_work+0x796/0xee0 ... Read opinfo->conn once and bail out if it has been cleared by a concurrent session_fd_check(). A half-detached opinfo cannot be the owner of an active lease, so returning 0 is the correct match result.

dataCycle User API Password Reset And Confirmation Flows Trust Attacker- Controlled Redirect Targets

dataCycle is a data management system for centrally storing, managing, searching, finding, and distributing data. In dataCycle-CORE, the module handling core processing and framework rules, before and including version 25.07.3, a low-privileged authenticated API user can supply `forwardToUrl` and `redirectUrl` values when triggering password reset or confirmation flows. Those values are then embedded into the outgoing email workflow without host allowlisting. This creates two related abuse paths: - password reset or confirmation links can be sent to a victim with the token already attached to an attacker-controlled `forwardToUrl` - after a legitimate password reset completes, the browser is redirected to attacker-controlled `redirectUrl` In practice, this can be used for phishing, token capture, confirmation hijacking, or steering a victim from a trusted email into an attacker domain. This is patched in version 26.06.08.

bpf: use kvfree() for replaced sysctl write buffer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: use kvfree() for replaced sysctl write buffer proc_sys_call_handler() allocates its temporary sysctl buffer with kvzalloc() and passes it to __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_sysctl(). Since kvzalloc() may fall back to vmalloc() for large allocations, freeing that buffer with kfree() is wrong and can corrupt memory. Use kvfree() to safely handle both kmalloc and kvzalloc()/vmalloc allocations. The bug was first flagged by an experimental analysis tool we are developing for kernel memory-management bugs while analyzing v6.13-rc1. The tool is still under development and is not yet publicly available. Manual inspection confirms that the bug is still present in v7.1-rc5. Reproduced the bug based on v7.1-rc4 in a QEMU x86_64 guest booted with KASAN and CONFIG_FAILSLAB enabled. To exercise the replacement path, the test tree also included the accompanying fix for the stale ret == 1 check in __cgroup_bpf_run_filter_sysctl(). The reproducer confines failslab injections to the proc_sys_call_handler() range, uses stacktrace-depth=32, and injects fail-nth=1 while writing 8191 bytes to /proc/sys/kernel/domainname from a task in the target cgroup. Under that setup, fail-nth=1 triggered the fault: BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffeb0200024d48 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 SMP KASAN NOPTI CPU: 2 UID: 0 PID: 209 Comm: repro_proc_sys_ Not tainted 7.1.0-rc4-00686-g97625979a5d4 PREEMPT(lazy) Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (Q35 + ICH9, 2009), BIOS 1.15.0-1 04/01/2014 RIP: 0010:kfree+0x6e/0x510 ... dpll: zl3073x: use __dpll_device_change_ntf() and remove change_work

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dpll: zl3073x: use __dpll_device_change_ntf() and remove change_work The change_work was introduced to send device change notifications from DPLL device callbacks without deadlocking on dpll_lock, since the callbacks are already invoked under that lock. Now that __dpll_device_change_ntf() is exported for callers that already hold dpll_lock, use it directly and remove the change_work infrastructure entirely. This eliminates a race condition where change_work could be re-scheduled after cancel_work_sync() during device teardown, potentially causing the handler to dereference a freed or NULL dpll_dev pointer.

KVM: SEV: Use READ_ONCE() when reading entries/indices from PSC buffer

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SEV: Use READ_ONCE() when reading entries/indices from PSC buffer Use READ_ONCE() when reading entries/indices from the guest-accessible Page State Change buffer to defend against TOCTOU bugs. Don't bother with READ_ONCE()/WRITE_ONCE() for cases where KVM is writing (and not consuming the result!), as the guest isn't supposed to touch the buffer while it's being processed. I.e. using READ_ONCE() is all about protecting against misbehaving guests.

f2fs: validate ACL entry sizes in f2fs_acl_from_disk()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: validate ACL entry sizes in f2fs_acl_from_disk() f2fs_acl_count() only validates the aggregate ACL xattr length. A malformed ACL can still place ACL_USER or ACL_GROUP in a slot that only contains struct f2fs_acl_entry_short bytes, and f2fs_acl_from_disk() then reads entry->e_id before verifying that a full entry fits. Require a short entry before reading e_tag and e_perm, and require a full entry before reading e_id for ACL_USER and ACL_GROUP. Return -EFSCORRUPTED from these new truncated-entry checks, while keeping the pre-existing -EINVAL paths unchanged.
