Grav API Plugin: CORS 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *' on Authenticated API Responses

Grav API Plugin is a RESTful API for Grav CMS that provides full headless access to your site's content. Prior to 1.0.0-rc.16, the Grav API plugin CorsMiddleware returns Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * and permissive OPTIONS responses for authenticated /api/v1 endpoints. JavaScript from any origin can submit an attacker-obtained JWT through the Authorization or X-API-Token header, read the authenticated response, and perform write operations with the token owner's privileges, enabling data exfiltration and account modification. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0-rc.16.

Admin Account Takeover via Path Traversal in vsDesk

An insecure deserialization vulnerability in vsDesk allows a remote attacker to gain unauthorized administrative access. By manipulating application configuration data, an attacker can force the system to authenticate against an arbitrary LDAP server and provision a new administrative account. Apply patch from vendor https://vsdesk.ru/ . Versions 14.0402 and on have the patch.

Missing Authorization for Reloading Token-Signing Keys through the REST API in Splunk Enterprise

In Splunk Enterprise 10.4 versions below 10.4.2, an unauthenticated user could cause Splunk Enterprise to reload token-signing keys through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API. The vulnerability does not affect Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4. The vulnerability is possible because the REST API does not require authentication or the change_authentication capability for the token-key reload action. For more information see Define roles on the Splunk platform with capabilities (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.4/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/define-roles-on-the-splunk-platform-with-capabilities) in the Splunk documentation.

Use of Hard-coded Cryptographic Key through Companion App Registration in Splunk Secure Gateway

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, and Splunk Secure Gateway versions below 3.10.10, 3.9.24, and 3.8.71, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could register an arbitrary companion app and cause Splunk Secure Gateway to forward mobile user requests, including tokens that compromise all relevant data available to the affected mobile user, to an attacker-controlled Uniform Resource Locator (URL). The vulnerability is possible because a hard-coded cryptographic key in the Splunk Secure Gateway companion app registration handler allows for arbitrary callback URL registration without restriction. For more information see Define roles on the Splunk platform with capabilities (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.2/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/define-roles-on-the-splunk-platform-with-capabilities) in the Splunk documentation.

SAML Single Sign On 4.8.85 - 5.4.6 - Unauthenticated Administrator Account Takeover via SAML Trust Anchor Overwrite

The SAML Single Sign On WordPress plugin before 5.4.7 does not verify the signature of a SAML response before storing the certificate it carries, and offers an administrator a one-click control that promotes that stored certificate to the site's trusted signing certificate, allowing unauthenticated attackers to have a certificate of their own trusted and then authenticate as any user, including an administrator.

Path Traversal through Splunk Web Static File Serving in Splunk Enterprise

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, an unauthenticated user could read JavaScript files outside the Splunk Web static directory. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk Web does not restrict static file requests to the configured static directory.

Improper Access Control through Scheduled Searches in Splunk AI Toolkit

In Splunk AI Toolkit versions below 6.0.0, a user that holds a role with the schedule_search capability could cause a scheduled search to load and deserialize a model file through the apply search command. The improper access control is possible because Splunk AI Toolkit does not mark the apply search command as risky. Wazuh: Cluster Protocol Memory Exhaustion (DoS) via unbounded receive_str allocation and div_msg_box accumulation

Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 3.9.0 until 4.14.5 and 5.0.0-beta2, the Wazuh cluster protocol in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/common.py allows an authenticated cluster node to exhaust memory on the master. The receive_str() method accepts an attacker-controlled total for InBuffer without a maximum, so a new_str command can request a multi-gigabyte bytearray and repeated requests accumulate in in_str. The divided-message path also retains flag_divided fragments under unique counters in div_msg_box without a count, aggregate-size, or expiration limit. Exploitation can disrupt agent connectivity and alert processing across the monitored environment. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.5 and 5.0.0-beta2.

Code Injection through Splunk Web Manager Configuration in Splunk Enterprise

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could execute arbitrary code on the Splunk platform instance through Splunk Web Manager Configuration. The user could then access all relevant data and affect system integrity and availability on the Splunk platform instance. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk Web Manager Configuration evaluates manager configuration values, and the Representational State Transfer (REST) API path for manager configuration does not require the permission that normally controls manager configuration writes. For more information see About configuring role-based user access (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.2/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/about-configuring-role-based-user-access) and restmap.conf (https://help.splunk.com/en/data-management/splunk-enterprise-admin-manual/10.2/configuration-file-reference/10.2.0-configuration-file-reference/restmap.conf) in the Splunk documentation.

Termix: Tar option injection in file-manager archive creation allows command execution on managed SSH hosts

Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. Prior to 2.3.2, the archive creation endpoint in src/backend/ssh/file-manager.ts passes selected file basenames to tar without an end-of-options marker and without making the operands unambiguously relative. A user with access to an SSH file-manager session can select basenames beginning with GNU tar options such as --checkpoint=1 and --checkpoint-action=exec, causing tar, tar.gz, tar.bz2, or tar.xz creation to interpret those names as options. The resulting checkpoint action executes commands on the managed SSH host with the privileges of the connected SSH account, allowing file disclosure, modification, and service disruption. This issue is fixed in version 2.3.2.
