Pulpcore: pulpcore: relative_path_validator bypass via directory traversal in filesystemexport

A path traversal vulnerability was found in pulpcore. The relative_path_validator function only verifies that content paths do not begin with "/" but fails to block directory traversal sequences such as "../" anywhere in the path. An authenticated administrator can craft a relative_path containing embedded traversal sequences (e.g., "looking/normal/../../../../etc/shadow") that escapes the intended export directory during FilesystemExport operations. Because the file content is also user-controlled (uploaded artifact), this allows arbitrary file write to any location writable by the Pulp service user, potentially leading to service compromise or further system exploitation.

thunderbolt: property: Reject u32 wrap in tb_property_entry_valid()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: property: Reject u32 wrap in tb_property_entry_valid() entry->value is u32 and entry->length is u16; the sum is performed in u32 and wraps. A malicious XDomain peer can pick value = 0xffffff00, length = 0x100 so the sum 0x100000000 wraps to 0 and passes the > block_len check. tb_property_parse() then passes entry->value to parse_dwdata() as a dword offset into the property block, reading attacker-directed memory far past the allocation. For TEXT-typed entries with the "deviceid" or "vendorid" keys this lands in xd->device_name / xd->vendor_name and is readable back via the per-XDomain device_name / vendor_name sysfs attributes; the leak is NUL-bounded (kstrdup() stops at the first zero byte) and untargeted (the attacker picks a delta, not an absolute address). DATA-typed entries are parsed into property->value.data but not generically surfaced to userspace. Use check_add_overflow() so a wrapped sum is rejected.

AgenticMail API/storage and outbound relay hardening

AgenticMail gives AI agents real email addresses and phone numbers. @agenticmail/api prior to version 0.9.32 and @agenticmail/core prior to version 0.9.10 had weakness related to validation and and binding of inactive-agent hour filtering; storage SQL identifier validation; metadata-backed ownership checks for raw storage SQL; blocking direct storage metadata access through raw SQL; fail-closed outbound worker secret handling; SMTP envelope/header control-character validation before command construction; and TLS certificate verification as the default for MailSender with an explicit opt-out for local development. @agenticmail/api prior to version 0.9.32 and @agenticmail/core prior to version 0.9.10 are patched.

Bluetooth: MGMT: validate Add Extended Advertising Data length

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: MGMT: validate Add Extended Advertising Data length MGMT_OP_ADD_EXT_ADV_DATA is registered as a variable-length command, with MGMT_ADD_EXT_ADV_DATA_SIZE as the fixed header size. The handler then uses cp->adv_data_len and cp->scan_rsp_len to validate and copy cp->data, but it never checks that those bytes are part of the mgmt command payload. A short command can therefore make add_ext_adv_data() pass an out-of-bounds pointer into tlv_data_is_valid(). If the bytes beyond the command buffer are addressable, they can also be copied into the advertising instance as scan response data, where the caller can read them back via MGMT_OP_GET_ADV_INSTANCE. The trigger requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the initial user namespace; KASAN reports an 8-byte slab-out-of-bounds read. Reject commands whose length does not match the fixed header plus both advertising data lengths before parsing cp->data.

Paymenter: Race condition in payWithCredit() enables credit double-spend

Paymenter is a free and open-source webshop solution for management of hosting services. In versions prior to 1.5.5, the credit payment implementation in app/Livewire/Invoices/Show.php executes a pessimistic row lock (lockForUpdate()) outside of an active database transaction. Because MySQL/MariaDB requires an enclosing transaction to enforce row-level locks, the guard is ineffective. Concurrent payment requests can exploit this race condition to read the same credit balance simultaneously, allowing users to pay multiple invoices using the same credit balance. In database systems like MySQL, a row lock only works inside a formal transaction; without one, the lock is completely ignored. Because there is no active lock, two payment requests sent at the exact same millisecond can look at the database at the same time. Both requests see the original credit balance, decide it is sufficient, and approve the payment. Because the payment processes successfully through ExtensionHelper::addPayment(), the application provisions the corresponding services or digital goods, resulting in direct financial or resource loss to the platform. This issue has been fixed in version 1.5.5.

Apache Syncope: Remote Code Execution via Flowable BPMN Groovy ScriptTask

Improper Isolation or Compartmentalization vulnerability in Apache Syncope. An administrator with adequate entitlements can import arbitrary BPMN process definitions via the REST API and then start the process. When a BPMN process containing a Groovy scriptTask is imported and started, the Groovy script is executed directly on the server, with no sandbox. This issue affects Apache Syncope: from 3.0.0-M0 through 3.0.16, from 4.0.0-M0 Through 4.0.6, from 4.1.0-M0 through 4.1.1. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.0.7 / 4.1.2, which fix this issue by wrapping Flowable's Groovy scriptTasks with security sandbox.

KVM: x86/mmu: Ensure hugepage is in by slot before checking max mapping level

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86/mmu: Ensure hugepage is in by slot before checking max mapping level When recovering hugepages in the shadow MMU, verify that the base gfn of the shadow page is actually contained within the target memslot, *before* querying the max mapping level given the shadow page's gfn. Failure to pre-check the validity of the gfn can lead to an out-of-bounds access to the slot's lpage_info (which typically manifests as a host #PF because the lpage_info is vmalloc'd) if the guest creates a hugepage mapping (in its PTEs) that extends "below" the bounds of a memslot. When faulting in memory for a guest, and the size of the guest mapping is greater than KVM's (current) max mapping, then KVM will create a "direct" shadow page (direct in that there are no gPTEs to shadow, and so the target gfn is a direct calculation given the base gfn of the shadow page). The hugepage recovery flow looks for such direct shadow pages, as forcing 4KiB mappings when dirty logging generates the guest > host mapping size case. When the 4KiB restriction is lifted, then KVM can replace the shadow page with a hugepage. But if KVM originally used a smaller mapping than the guest because the range of memory covered by the guest hugepage exceeds the bounds of a memslot, then KVM will link a direct shadow page with a gfn that is outside the bounds of the memslot being used to fault in memory. The rmap entry added for the leaf mapping is correct and within bounds, but the gfn of the leaf SPTE's parent shadow page will be out of bounds. ExtremeXOS Privilege Escalation via Symlink Following in File Utilities

The mv, cp, and rm file utilities exposed within the ExtremeXOS (EXOS) shell environment fail to safely canonicalize paths and follow symbolic links outside of the intended privilege boundary. An attacker with low-privilege CLI access can create a symbolic link that references a privileged filesystem location and then invoke the affected utilities to read, modify, or replace security-critical files outside of their authorized scope. Under certain conditions, this may enable escalation to root-level access and persistent modification of the device software stack. Exploitation is possible remotely by an attacker holding a low-privilege account, or locally via the serial console. Extreme would like to thank Hadrien Barral (Université Gustave Eiffel) and Georges-Axel Jaloyan (French Ministry of the Interior) for responsible disclosure of their findings.

net: shaper: rework the VALID marking (again)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: shaper: rework the VALID marking (again) Recent commit changed the semantics from NOT_VALID to VALID. I didn't realize that the flags are not stored atomically with the entry in XArray. There's still a race of reader observing a VALID mark for a slot, getting interrupted, writer replacing the entry with a different one, reader continuing, fetching the entry which is now a different pointer than the pointer for which VALID was meant. The biggest consequence of this is that we may see a UAF since net_shaper_rollback() assumed that entries without VALID can be freed without observing RCU. Looks like the XArray marks are buying us nothing at this point. Let's convert the code to an explicit valid field. The smp_load_acquire() / smp_store_release() barriers are marginally cleaner.

udf: reject descriptors with oversized CRC length

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: udf: reject descriptors with oversized CRC length udf_read_tagged() skips CRC verification when descCRCLength + sizeof(struct tag) exceeds the block size. A crafted UDF image can set descCRCLength to an oversized value to bypass CRC validation entirely; the descriptor is then accepted based solely on the 8-bit tag checksum, which is trivially recomputable. Reject such descriptors instead of silently accepting them. A legitimate single-block descriptor should never have a CRC length that exceeds the block.
